The Ryan Escape Bar® is equipped with a swiveling ring located in the center of the bar along with two sharp penetrating points located on each end of the bar. This allows emergency response personnel to gain easy access to a working fire and should they find themselves trapped, a rope can be attached to the ring allowing personnel to rappel safely out of a window.
Q. How much weight can the Ryan Escape Bar® support? A. The Ryan Escape Bar® is currently being tested to support up to 20,000 pounds of weight. It is important to note that variables such as structural integrity and solidity of the mounting location can affect its performance in not done properly.
Q. Does the Ryan Escape Bar® work with concrete or cement walls? A. The Ryan Escape Bar® is not designed to penetrate and securely anchor in cement, concrete, or metal walls.
Q. How many people can use the Ryan Escape Bar® at the same time? A. It is suggested that one one person use the Ryan Escape Bar® at a time. Only after the person clears the window should the next person proceed to use it.
